The second edition of this work, first published in 1900.

Flat signed by the author to the half title with the inscription to John Ward from his friend the author, Frank Harris, Feb. 1907.

A collection of five stories, including Sonia and First Love: A Confession.

An early collection from the Irish-American editor, novelist, short story writer, journalist and publisher, who was friends with literary figures including Oscar Wilde and George Bernard Shaw.


CONDITION

In the publishers original cloth binding. Bumping to back strip head and tail, with back strip lightly age toned, and light handling marks to front board. Front hinge strained, but firmly held. Evidence of bookplate removal to front pastedown. Inscription to half title. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright.
