What is Furisode Kimono?

Furisode kimono is a kimono with long sleeves and richly patterned designs, and is worn as the first formal dress for young unmarried women in Japan. It is worn for coming-of-age ceremonies, weddings, graduation ceremonies, and presentations.The origin of furisode comes from the way the long sleeves flutter and sway when the wearer shakes them.
